Hello out there
Happy Independence Day, everyone! Hope you all did something fun. Remember when we all used to meet at the Cheesetown fair across from Dogwood Park, and later, in Porter? I was thinking about you all yesterday.
I started a new job in June, so have been extra busy. I'm now working for the Getty(www.getty.edu), charged with spearheading publicity for the Getty Conservation Institute and the Getty Foundation. It's interesting work.
The other news is that I'm 3 1/2 months pregnant! After 3+ years of trying and two miscarriages, it appears all is well. John and I are cautiously ecstatic!
John is on paid hiatus from SouthPark for the summer and has picked up extra work at a studio called BrainZoo.
My mom is doing well, busy as can be.

Congrats! Boy, do I know the heartache of trying--what an emotional mess. So happy for you both--enjoy your pregnancy. Be calm, and relaxed about it as much as you can be. You are going to be a terrific mommy, and you'll love it, too.
My little Nathan (not so little anymore) is 18 months now, and is a challenge to keep up with. He is certainly "all boy"--I'm not sure who's more tired at the end of the day, me or him!
You have so much to look forward to. Pleae keep us posted.

Hey Melissa--fantastic news!! So glad to hear that you two are expecting. I have loved (almost *wink*) every minute with my little bundle of fun. Your lives will be forever changed.

This is the third time I've tried to reply (ugh). You must be thrilled. Being a mom is awesome, and you will be a great one.
As an "older mom"--yeah, I'm an older mom--I feel that I handle things better than I may have 10 years ago--I'm calmer...but that may be because I have less energy. Who knows.
Please let us know how you're doing when you can.
