Just a little Pink Floyd to get things rolling...it seemed apropos.
How is everyone? The blog's been pretty quiet for the last month or two, so thought I'd check in.
California is gorgeous this time of year. Sunny and 70s. Anyone up for a visit? I started a new job at UCLA at the tail end of February which has been keeping me very busy. John started a new job animating on an upcoming feature film called "The Barnyard" for Steve Oedekerk ("Bruce Almighty," "Ace Ventura" "Nutty Professor") and so he's working 14 hour plus days, six days a week. Though it's a rough schedule, life is good, we can't complain.
Monica, how's the job search going? Diana, how's football? Amber, how's Sydney? Lisa, you still out there? How's Edison? What's new? Derrick - do you have new pictures of your kids for us?
Any one have plans for the fourth of July? I'm thinking maybe San Fran or Chicago just to get away for a long weekend. Will anyone be around?

I'm glad to see that others are still "checking in" even though activity is low around here (insert noises of crickets chirping here).
Melissa-Chuck (hubby) has talked about making a vacation to California--he really liked meeting Eric and Brian and thought it would be cool to go to San Fran to visit out there. However, I don't think it's going to happen this year--we're building a house and I'm sure we will be in the neighborhood of broke for a while.
Robin--I'm going to call you this weekend (provided cleanning the garage doesn't kill me--it may).
Football has started, but with softball starting, too, it has been hard to make it to practice. Plus, practice has been rained out a few times, too. I'm looking forward to the practices where we wear full football gear (pads, helmets, and such). My mom is getting excited about coming to a game or two this year. It's going to be a fun season, and I'm looking forward to it, but it will probably be my last. too much of a drive, and it literally takes up all of my weekends. I enjoy it, but it's just too much committment.
I'll post more later--but I really hope to hear from more of you on here. Hope all is well with everyone. We definately need to get together again.
