F&G Reunion

Hi all -

I think I successfully uploaded a picture from last night as a post, but I haven't seen it yet, so who knows.

I think if you click on this link:
http://www.ofoto.com/I.jsp?c=qjas55z.3svufq0z&x=0&y=-gkijp4

You will see my online photo album. Not many pics, but a few. For those of you who weren't there, I didn't have time to add captions. Monica was there with her boyfriend Steve, Lis with Courtney, Eric with Brian, there's a picture of my husband Kevin with my youngest son, Owen, and a couple of Robin with Owen. The group shot is blurry - not sure why...hopefully someone else got a great group shot they can post here to the blog. And if you upload it to ofoto, we can order a print!

It was a great time, and something I hope we do again much sooner than 15 years from now.

If anyone can't see the photo album or just wants to get in touch, email me at rebecca.crum@gmail.com

Happy holidays!
R

**I tried a hundred times to edit this so the print would not change to this tiny almost unreadable print, and it just won't do it...sorry!

It's not the greatest picture, but it's the best one I have to post for the group shot. Sometimes my camera takes crappy indoor pics. A good time was had by all - wish more of you could have been there. I'm more than happy to open my doors for next year if y'all want to come down to the farm. :) Posted by Hello

Merry Christmas everyone...

Hi all...

Going to be a slow day as everyone has their minds on Christmas and not necessarily on work. Not that I'm complaining! How fun it has been to read about everyone here. It sounds like we all made it into adulthood fairly well.

I'm living in Lake Village, Indiana - not far from Rensselaer, Mike, and yes, I know where Parr is. ;) We go to Scout camp and roller skating (yes, ROLLER SKATING) in Renssel-tucky.

Not so quick update...I'm married to Kevin Crum from Highland, IN class of '83...we've been married for 2 years now. I have two boys, Alex-12 (6th grader!), Owen-7 (2nd grader). They attend Lincoln Elementary in Roselawn (yes, the home of Naked City and the Miss Nude USA pageant. I'm so proud). Both boys do very well in school, are involved in Scouts and taekwondo (are now purple belts)...it's a fun life just to try and keep up! I now know what my parents went through living in the middle of no where and trying to keep up with my sister's and my extracurricular activities. Alex has begun playing guitar and Owen wants harmonica lessons of all things...we're scrambling to come up with that one. Our biggest hope for '05 is that we can get a piano and start them both on lessons. Music is a big part of our house, and I have them listening to everything. One day Stevie Wonder, the next day Fleetwood Mac...they can sing along with the Indigo Girls and Ani DiFranco (though I have to turn Ani off sometimes, she can be a little harsh for the kiddie ears), and turn around and jam out to Green Day.

Enough about my kids and more about ME! For the love of Pete...

I bounced around between Muncie and Chesterton for awhile and finally got a degree from Purdue Cal in computer information systems. I've held several systems administration positions over the years doing system design and tech support. I current run systems at a small bankruptcy/foreclosure firm in Merrillville. I'm a total geek, dealing with a lot of open source and unix based systems, though we keep windows on the desktop much to my dismay. I'm a security nut, an email nazi...I try as best I can to keep the peeps from unknowingly killing our network.

On the flip side I've also been a rock star - I used to sing with a local band and have started (badly) playing acoustic guitar. I hope to start a new project this year as I have a friend with a recording studio in New Buffalo. We'll see what happens.

We have 10 acres of property - have fun with our 3 dogs, 3 cats, 1 goat (yes GOAT) and don't forget the hermit crabs. We literally have our own petting zoo.

If anyone is travelling to or from Indy via I-65, you're driving right past me...feel free to stop by! There's always beer in the fridge and wine in the rack. And living in the boonies, I have a guest room, so if we finish off the beer and the wine, I have someplace for you to sleep it off.

Not sure what's going on Sunday, I'm going to do my best to make it by for awhile.

Happy Holidays everyone - R

The Reunion- directions to my house

Happy Holidays !
Soory I have not posted directions to our house, but we have been very busy shopping, cleaning, etc. We are having Christmas Eve here for Bob's family on Friday, then I work Saturday and after work I have to come home and get cleaned up to go to my brothers house to do Christmas for my family, then Sunday is the big day! If you are traveling from Chesterton, take 49 to 6 heading east, go past Jackson Farms, the first road on the right after Jackson Farms is 625 E. turn there (to the right). Take 625 E. all the way down to the stop sign you are now on the corner of 625 E. and 700 N. turn right onto 700 N. the first road on the left off of 700 E. is 600 E. turn here! We are the third house on the left! Look for the flag pole with the American Flag and the POW Flag waving in the front yard.
If you are coming from the south side of Valpo, take HWY 2 East you pass the Morgan Township H.S. keep heading toward Westville. after about 5 miles you will go over a bridge that goes over some RR tracks, the first road on the left is 600 N. don't get confused and turn here this is the wrong road the next road after 600 N. is 600 E. turn left here we are the 5th house on the right. If you are confused, just go to one of the gasstations in Westviile and calll us collect at 219-464-7085. The party is to start at about 4 or5, but we don't care if anyone shows up after 1p.m. Please allow us time to go to church! By the way, if anyone who is Catholic and is interested in seeing Father Jerry let us know!

Love Robin& Bob

Let it SNOW!!!

Hi everyone!!

The Butlers just got home from a fun weekend in NW Indiana. My boys really enjoyed the 15" of snow at their grandparents house near Valpo!! Driving to Parr (near Rennselaer) Sunday morning wasn't easy, but we made it. Despite the weather, there were over 120 people at my grandmother's birthday party! Did the rest of you have a good weekend?
